Sad to hear that Skip died so young. I remember having dinner with Skip and Della while I was in Grand Junction a few years ago. It was great to be with another Mottram from my Dad's family, and to hear stories that I had not yet heard.

I just heard about your loss and I am so very sorry. Mr Mottram was a great man. I mostly think of him riding up the Monument, training for a marathon or dropping us off at powder horn and then cross country skiing all day while we rode the lifts. He was well respected and loved as a teacher and he was always welcoming and gracious. He will be missed.
Della,Jon,Steve, and Keith.
We just got back in town. I am sorry about your loss. Skip was one of the most amazing, patient people that I have ever met. He gave me a lesson on being a precinct chair, when I wasn't sure that was on my agenda. He was very patient. Skip will be missed but his legacy will live on.
Mrs. Mottram, Jon, Steve, and Keith,
I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Mottram was such a wonderful man and I am glad that I was lucky enough to have known him. I know he is looking down on all of you with love!

Della and family, So sorry for you loss! Even after so many years later, I still have the fondest memories of 'Mr. Mottram'! Besides the one where he purposely placed me at the end of the line of students while we held hands and sent an electrical current through all of us, he thought that was pretty funny as I jumped 2 feet off the ground and screamed. He was a great man, an excellent teacher! Rest in Peace! Sincerely

What a wonderful, smart, kind man Skip Mottram was. My condolences, Della, to you and your family. Skip hired me at Mesa Land Trust and I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of that terrific community organization that he helped build. We both liked to share in a laugh how us two city guys ended up in W Colo, a place we both love. Best,
When I was Keith's first grade teacher I would see Mr. Mottram walking to his school in the opposite direction. He was always so friendly and polite just as his son's are. I also remember how smart Keith was in Math, a tribute to his mom and dad. My sincere condolences to Della and family during this sad time. May you feel God's loving arms wrap around you tightly.
Della, Dear Della,
We so want to be with you, your sons, andyour extended family. Please know that we are with you, in Spirit, through Skip's visitation, Mass of Christian Burial, and burial.

Skip was a friend of my dad's and his campaign manager during his bid for State Legislature. I will always remember Skip for his kindness and dedication to what he believed in. He was an inspiration to all. My condolences to Della and the "boys".
Thank you Mr. Mottram for teaching me Algebra. Thank you for your patience and sense of humor with all of the Central High School students. My sincere condolences to Della and the rest of your family.
Mr. Mottram was an amazing teacher, he was my physics and pre-calculus teacher at Central High School and one of my favorites. You always remember the great teachers that had an impact on your life, he's one I will never forget. I'm so sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Please accept my condolences in the loss of your husband and father. Mr Mottram was my first algebra teacher at Argo High School. We again crossed paths at Western State College when I worked in the Registrar's Office; I had moved to Paonia in 1975. May the loving arms of Our Lord surround you and your family and give you some comfort.

I had him for Math in eith grade at what was then OMJHS. He was a good man. It is at times like this that I am grateful for my faith in Jesus Christ as taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
